The screen is still working, but when I try to close the lid it seems as though the plastic covering the screen would come off… I dont think I can even move the lid… What do I do? Will a Fusion setup be faster than my old Mac 512GB SSD solo? I take it a Fusion setup will probably not be as stable. But I backup regularly. I’m very happy with the speed of the iMac post-transplant....

Horizontally opening door. draclif, I have read in a few forums it may be door seal/weather strip rubbing and making that sound, spray weather strip/seal with some silicone lubricant and also spray the rubber hatch stoppers. If rear window also opens separate from the hatch do it as well. Still getting a squeak, open hatch/window and put a very light coat of WD40 on the shafts of the lift struts and lube all hinges and latches....

If you skip any of them inadvertently, or misalign the panel, you must correct the problem by unmounting the panel. This is the only part of the procedure that terrifies me most as it poses a high risk of cracking an expensive panel....
Chosen Solution I have a new Artison 1430, and want to remove the side panel for waste-ink adaption. On you-tube it shows tabs to be lifted, but my model has a smooth surface so obviously is a later model, and has no tabs showing. I’m afraid a repair manual may not be up-to-date. Anyone can help? OK, it’s not very obvious, but the front panel on the right-hand side is just a cover plate` which pulls straight forward for removal....
Chosen Solution Hi all, Dunked my phone in a pool after a screen replacement - moisture seeped in through a small break in the adhesive sealer. I was able to crack open the phone and get all the moisture out with one exception - inside the main camera module itself. It seems that the camera module’s ability to move somewhat compromises its water integrity, and as such I can see some small bubbles on the inside of the module itself....

May I know what type of paint will be able to do the cosmetic job? @fixermaster , Dan, A lot of the digital camera’s have a powder coat system paint applied, very hard for match on scratch/touch up. Best thing to do is to take camera with you to hardware/big box store and try to match the camera body color up to paints they have to offer off the paint lids, samples etc....

Chosen Solution My iMac’s (i3 ,WD 500G ) Hard Drive is failure and I replace a new one but I can’t connect thermal sensor to new Hard Drive because the connectors are different. So my Hard Drive Fan will run the full speed after 10 mins when I power on. I google the solution and someone suggest that I can jump the connector to make the sensor short then it will show 0 C degree....

Chosen Solution I received the replacement screen plus digitizer full assembly for the iphone 6, white and the screen is not flush against the frame of the phone. The phone frame showed 2 impact points and I shaved them down with a razor blade. The screen still jutts out a bit. I then compared the replacement with the original and there seems to be a difference. My client is upset. What do I do to correct this quickly without having to return the part and waiting another few days?...

Chosen Solution i replaced my screen once and since then ive cracked it again so ive ordered another screen and replaced it and noticed that after i would put the screen together it would stop working. i sent the screen back for a new one figuring that one was bad but the new one i got does the same. since then ive learned that if i do a reset (sleep and home button) the screen will temporarily become resposive again....
Chosen Solution My ibook G3 has a screen problem. I just replaced the display inverter, But still turn display off. I can see the screen with a flash light. I reboot pressing command S and sometimes fixes the problem. any suggestions? Update Thanks I’ll try that. You replaced the same part I would. Next would be the inverter cables.
Chosen Solution On my 2014 rMBP (original display), the rubber trim is beginning to get sloppy. The trim is holding fine otherwise, but this one area of it is loose compared to the rest of the display. Is there a way I can prevent further issues, at least? I’m not buying a replacement display; I’d rather get a AMD dGPU 15" 2015 since the price of the display vs a new(er) rMBP is so close, especially with Big Sur being the final supported OS!...

The heat sensors are interchangeble even with the iMac G5 iSight models but there are limitations.
Chosen Solution It seems like the battery life of my laptop just continuously gets worse and worse. It doesn’t last as long as it did when I first acquired the laptop, and I’m worried that it won’t get any better or stop anytime soon. Does this happen with laptop batteries? This is a pretty common issue with laptops, though often the issue isn’t caused by a bad battery. A common cause for short battery life is old or outdated software....
