Chosen Solution I would like to know how to replace the stock micro USB on this keyboard with a mini USB. My other keyboards use a mini USB cable and this keyboard has a micro USB; I would like to use the same cable for all my keyboards. Is this as simple as de soldering the micro USB and soldering in a new mini USB port? Hi, It would be easier to purchase a Mini USB Female to Micro USB Male Adapter (available on Ebay ) than to de-solder and re-solder USB ports as well as having to open a keyboard and then adapting the keyboard case to fit a bigger USB port opening....

Chosen Solution Hi, My motherboard is gone due to a spill (advice: if you spill something in the macbook, just bring it in a repair shop for cleanup, as mine lasted 6 more month but would have been OK if I had cleaned it properly). Anyway, since I am replacing logic board and top cover anyway, I thought I might put in 2.0Ghz i7 with 8GB of RAM instead of the original 1....

Chosen Solution Hi my dell on scratch 2 offline version is using a crazy 1.2GB of ram! It’s frozen by opening a project and haven’t closed it yet and just noticed this. It’s not using any CPU. Why is it using this much? Scratch runs on Flash, which isn’t exactly well optimized. I’ve discovered it always freezes on opening project <100 assets, but it always opens after a minute or so....

Chosen Solution My iphone 5 blacked out: screen doesn’t show anything, siri is the only thing works, pressing the silver lock screen button does nothing, and I can’t turn off the phone.. @haridas you seem to have “no display” meaning your screen assembly needs replacing. Trying on a new screen will help you determine if this is indeed the cause. However, if this “no display” issue occurred following a drop, screen replacement, liquid damage, or some repair attempt, the fault may be at board level....

Chosen Solution HP Pavillion 23 all in one model number 23-f213w. The computer came with windows 8 and my customer upgraded it to windows 10. A few months later while her son was playing a game on it the screen started flickering, turning black then back on, turning black with multi colored lines on it then back on then white then back on. Random things like this happens. However it doesn’t seem to happen when on just the desktop, but only when I have an app, or browser, or anything open, it will start this issue....

Chosen Solution Repairing a 6S that had a smashed screen. I’ve replaced it with a new one. Charged the battery up and turned it on. The screen lights up for half a second at most then goes black again. I’ve tried a second replacement screen and had the same issue. I know the phone is working as it vibrates when I turn it on and I’ve managed to activate voiceover. I have however noticed that there is a slight bend in the phone… I’m assuming this is a board issue, but really hoping it’s not?...

When I tried to turn on the iPad the Apple Logo came up for 1 Second and the screen goes black. Tried to press and hold the power button again after awhile, I could see the screen showing Hello (iPad Setup Page) and same thing happened it goes off after 1 Second....

Chosen Solution I’ve been struggling with getting my iPhone 7 Plus screen to work with iFixit for months. I got a screen from them and put it in, and the device would turn on, the touchscreen would work, and I’d even get notifications. But the screen was completely black minus a small amount of backlight. Now I got another new screen from iFixit in hopes they just sent me a bad one....

I tried all the solutions on the web I could find: Took out battery, tried powering up with just ac cable, no good. Tried powering up without ac cable, no good. Problem is the sensor cable, not the board. Thank you! While I buy the replacement one, I have a bunch of others Mac Mini that are not busy working for the time being, with last serial 19X / 1BU / 9G5, would it be possible to swap the sensors?...

Chosen Solution There is a flexible cover inside the replacement touch screen, attached to a thin foam barrier around the touch screen. If left in place, the edges show from outside with angled corners. should I leave this in place, or remove it. carlhansen, I believe that is the protection for your screen so that it does not get scratched or fingerprinted. I would take it off.

Chosen Solution I have the subject iMac and I’ll be a bit more expansive about the subject title: While using the machine (usually Lightroom Classic), it will occasionally power off spontaneously; not a “shut-down” but as if the power cord was pulled. Additionally, when just left alone for a while (could be in LR Library or just at the Desktop), the same “power-off” can happen. But here’s where it gets a bit stranger: Pressing the power button will always fail to startup the iMac after such a “power-off”....

Chosen Solution Hi there - Does removing the micro SIM card involve more than just sticking a paper clip in the hole? When I do so, the paper clip seems to just hit a metal wall. Am I doing something wrong? The SIM card eject hole on the iPhone 4 is significantly harder to press in using a paper clip than the previous model. Just use a bit more force; it’ll open no problem....

Chosen Solution Hello, While watching TV, a single red line has appeared on my screen. It goes down a single column of pixels completely and can be seen on different inputs and in the tv menus, etc. I’ve had a look at similar questions on this forum and tried to nudge the ribbon cables, however to no success, the image does not change at all and the line does not disappear....

Chosen Solution My LG Refrigerator model LMXC23746D/00 had error code 22 and I replaced Compressor Relay ( EBG60663205 LG Thermistor Assembly) then compressor was running but after few minutes stop and again start , after sometime LED Green was flashing on Main Board and I reset it then compressor run but not permanently. So the refrigerator is not cool please let me know what should I do. HNB Services, the thermistor protects the compressor from overheating....

Chosen Solution Hello ladies and Gentlemen… I have a stupid question for you… I have 2 sets of speakers… a 420w pair, and a 360w pair… but the head unit, is only a 50w x4, whatever that means… will the head unit power the speakers ok… ??? i have NO clue what any of it means… door speakers are 420w… and rear roof are 360w… can anyone help ? Chosen Solution Two days ago I spilled coffee (~2-3 tablespoons worth) on my Macbook Pro on accident. The coffee contained cream but no sugar. If it doesn’t, then you might have inadvertently deleted it. If thats the case, then you can either do an Archive and Install if you are using Leopard, or do a clean install and use migration assistant to copy over your user data if running Snow Leopard....

Chosen Solution So the directional pad got moved after getting stepped on and I need to know how to go about adjusting it. The solution may be as simple as just randomly pressing the directional pad until it pops back into place (you can find more information about how to deal with messed up buttons here). If that doesn’t work, unfortunately you’ll have to open up the device and reposition the directional pad that way....
