Chosen Solution Hello I have a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and everything but the front camera is working. When I switch to the front camera it just swaps between the two rear camera’s. From what I’ve already read online, it seems the front camera module is toasted. Is this hard to fix? Chosen Solution No matter what I try, I cant get any ram to read to read from slot0. BUT, It does read from slot1. I got it 2nd hand as working, but when I got it, it beeped at me. Chosen Solution on a Toshiba laptop it has Ubuntu not windows Ubuntu is a flavor/ form of Linux. Your laptop may not have windows on it anymore. If I am reading this right you would like to use Windows on occasion or exclusively. No Windows disk came with it and you can not see the recovery partition, if it still exists, to restore Windows back on the laptop. Go to your BIOS, setup, usually F1, F2 or delete key at start up....

While I was trying to execute the Fast LCD replacement guide, I was stuck because one of the topmost screws, the one closer to the iSight, on the left size is stripped. Basically, it hasn’t its proper cross shaped head anymore, just some sort of conical hole. I tried to get a drill, but the man who own the drill warned me that “The heat could even melt your plastic upper casing”, so I was scared....

Chosen Solution Had a cracked glass. LCD was fine. Removed glass/LCD and still worked. Unplugged old screen. Removed home button and installed on new screen. Unsoldered magnetic sensor and installed on new screen. Plugged in new screen and can not make it work. No sign of power at all. Plugged in lightening cable and still no sign of life. Disconnected new screen and plugged old screen back in. Still no sign of life....

You don’t have to remove the battery, just disconnect it. There is always power available at various points on the systemboard, even when the phone is switched off....

Chosen Solution it turns on ican hear it but the screen doesnt turn on jasonrussell, that could be caused by two things. One would be a bad LCD and the other a bad backlight fuse. Try to angle your LCD against some light and see if you can make out some shadows. Usually I use a darkroon and a flashlight angled against the LCD to determine a bad backlight. Anyhow, attached is a picture about the backlight fuse....

Chosen Solution I replaced my battery in February. Since then my screen won’t lay flat and is popping out on the left side. It looks like the battery has swelled some. The phone will glitch when I turn on my data or WiFi. If the battery power is below 90% and then will drain in less than 10 minutes if it isn’t plugged in. Chosen Solution This iPhone 7+ A1784 came in with a broken digitizer. A horse has stepped on it. No problem, I replaced the digitizer. She had forgotten the password so I couldn’t get into it to test. Now it’s back in, been wiped clean and no password. The camera images on both single shot and video vibrate like crazy. Even still shot taken show up with the blur in them. I would think this would have to do with a stabilizer but don’t know enough about this to know what part I need....
