Chosen Solution My MacBook Pro 13" hard drive died. Replaced under warranty, but no backup. Yeah yeah, I know. The dead drive belongs to Apple now. The shop that did the warranty work said they will sell me the dead drive for $199. The hard drive doesn’t spin up, doesn’t try to boot and fail, in fact doesn’t answer at all. Nada, zip, zilch. The repair shop found the cooling fan was broken, so the hard drive damage may have been heat related....

Chosen Solution Ok so my problems started when accidently did some water damage to my iPhone, everything was working apart from some battery drain even when the phone was off. I took it to professional cleaning service. After cleaning battery life was as good as new but they did something to my gyroscope or some other sensor. Now the phone doesnt wake when i pick it up, the compass and level tool are showing stupid things, but working....

If I check the voltage on c2414 it will be 5 volt right? My question is : the voltage wil be same with or without lcd connector attached? (obviously iPhone must be turn on :) ) I m asking because I have an iPhone 6 plus with no touch responding....

Chosen Solution The fan in my launch model ps4 died so I replaced it and put it back together and now it thinks it’s overheating even in the menu immediately after turning it on. I can’t open any games without it speeding up the process of overheating. I was just in it 15 mins ago so I know for a fact that the insides are dust free and I just reapplied thermal paste....

Chosen Solution My 2011 MacBook Pro unexpectedly froze during use. Upon startup it showed me a folder with a question mark. After restarting I help command + r which took me straight to internet recovery. However, after choosing my wifi I was stuck on the globe screen where you select your wifi for about 10 mins until I got the “-2002F” error message. I tried restating again this time holding down the option key which ended with the same result (no hard drive was shown)....

Chosen Solution So I bought a 27” 2019 iMac with 500gb SSD pre-installed, and I had the intention of replacing it with a 2 TB drive using OWC’s kit. My understanding is limited, but it appears to me that with the configuration I purchased, there is currently an SSD pre-installed in the PCI express, which is deep within the iMac, and there is a separate, vacant bay that I will actually be able to install an extra SSD into through a SATA connecor, to run on two internal drives (I initially thought I was going to swap out a 500gb SSD out of that slot and replace it)....

Chosen Solution Replaced rear camera on my 7plus because I could only get a black screen. Now the new camera won’t focus. Operating system up to date wondering what a fix could be? If the camera “works” (that is, no more black screen) but doesn’t focus, then you may have received a partially defective replacement camera. To be certain, closely inspect the camera flex and connector to insure there is no damage....

Chosen Solution My mid 2011 27 inch iMac had GPU problems which I solved with oven baking the card but came back three months later. I opted to buy a replacement GPU purchasing a 109-C29657-10. I noticed some small differences with the text on the card but I figured that was a newer revision of the card. Installation went well but after reassembly my iMac fails to stay powered long enough to boot to macOS....

Chosen Solution My iphone 5s is suddenly unresponsive. It turns on just fine, but doesn’t recognize screen touches. I thought it was a screen problem at first and took it to a repair shop, but the guy told me that the problem was the motherboard and that the phone shouldn’t even be turned on I logged in to icloud on pc to find out that somehow, the phone has a backup from yesterday, but the icloud photos didn’t have any of my photos from the phone....

Chosen Solution This a work computer that was gutted and by an ex-employee. I am trying to put it back together however it won’t boot. If I hold the power button down for a few seconds red light pulsate but not thing happens. No fans ramping up or nothing. Please help. Are you using the original charger that comes with the laptop? Sometimes if the charger is not powerful enough / original it may refuse to charge the battery or power the laptop without battery....

Chosen Solution I’ve just replaced a friends digitizer on iPad 5, and the home button doesn’t work. I tried checking the connections and all seem fine. Any ideas please? Did you use an iPad Air digitizer with pre-installed home button? While the digitizer works on both Air and 5th gen, home button is not interchangeable as they use different protocols.

Chosen Solution I tried to replace my screen everything went pretty smoothly but had an issue attaching connectors.. I powered screennon and it worked but the touch screen didn’t. I went back to try and secure the connectors better. Nothing seemed to work. Not sure whatnot so can someone help?? I would even send my iPad mini screen to someone to help fix. Let me know If it was just the LCD you replaced it sounds like you also need to replace the digitiser (front glass)....

Chosen Solution Hi, I replaced the screen and the lightning connector on an iPhone 5c. The ear piece and headphone jack are working, no sound when using speaker phone and when a call or notification is received there is no sound, only vibrate. I already checked the notifications options in settings, and the phone is NOT set to DND and it is not in silent mode. the load speaker gets its power from touch connection on the Lighting port flex cable ....

Chosen Solution at first i noticed a broken wheel, so i replaced it. irobot local dealer says that when it gets wet the motherboard dies and isnt worth fixing (he wants me to buy a new one) if its a motherboard problem, cant i just change the motherboard? or might it also be a sensor problem? how do i make sure it is a motherboard issue and not senssor? Chosen Solution This screen has a good LCD (I’ve tested it) but it’s black. I can press and hold the power button and slide it to power off, the vibration works and even the sound. I’ve already tried a hard reset and multiple power off and reboot techniques but it’s still the same. I’ve checked and checked and checked the connections over and over again but all screws are in place and I’m not noticing anything missing if there is anything....

Chosen Solution Hi there I’ve got a Macbook Air 2017 13” A1466 and I decided to upgrade the SSD from the stock 128 GB to a Samsung Evo 970 Plus 500 GB - with adapter. I unscrewed all the pentalobe screws, all came out just fine, except one on the side - but the last one came out eventually. I disconnected the battery cable, replaced the SSD with the new one with an adapter, reconnected the battery, put the cover up and seal it with the screws....

Chosen Solution replace sim card tray First make sure the sim card is in the tray the right way then make sure the tray slot is clear.Old and worn sim cards can loose there chip and it can get stuck in the slot. make sure the tray has no damage and make sure your putting it in the right way up.only fits one way without force if it was forced in you have a bigger problem....

Chosen Solution How can I re-mold or buff out a small nick on my macbook pro case? The paint did not chip, but the edge of the case is slightly indented. I have worked with this issue many times. I have tried to work out the dent with a piece of hard wood and smack it from the inside. Remove all components in the way using the ifixit guides for your machine and use a piece of hard wood just larger than the damaged area so you don’t end up with multiple dents on the other side....

Chosen Solution Hello there I am some trouble with the keyboard on my MacBook Air (11-inch , Mid 2012), and I hope some of you have ideas for a solution :). The problem regards certain keys in the right side of the keyboard (for example: Shift, P, Enter and some of the arrow keys) . The problem is not that the keys are not functioning at all, but rather that they are somewhat unresponsive … this means that (at least for some of the keys) when I press them repeatedly (25-30 times) they start reacting (the Shift key, however, seems to be dead)....
