Chosen Solution Hi, So this sticker around my Macbook CPU is removed while trying to repaste thermal component. Can anyone please suggest where can I find the sticker? Kapton tape should do the trick. If you are in a pinch, regular sticky tape would do but remember that the glue on regular sticky tape isn’t designed for high heat. It may end up drying out later on. The tape is only there so that no part of the heatsink touches the contacts and shorts them....

Chosen Solution Top left corner not operating, always selects option below it. @jsgn if it is always the same area that is unresponsive, it is most likely a bad touchscreen. Replacing it should fix this issue. Use this video to assist you with that repair.

Chosen Solution have repaired screen, put in DFU, installed itunes but now iphone wont recognise SIM. iphone is in uk, have tried o2 and 3 but no luck. what to do? have cleaned and checked SIM tray/pins. phone innards cleaned with isopropyl alcohol-can’t find obvious damage to motherboard. An lcd and battery change has got phone working however a strange issue I’m wondering if anyone has experienced before. When I connect home button/heat shield flex to the board the screen goes black. Presumed there was an issue with flex but is is the same once replaced and the same with other lcds. Any tips be appreciated, I’m guessing pointing towards board FPC issue....

You can also take a can of Duster and hold the iPod upside down and spray a few puffs in the head phone jack. If it still does not work, I think it is time to open up the iPod and replace the head phone jack....

It will right and left click, dart around the screen, and select large quantities of text all without my input. I can still move the mouse around myself, but I’m in constant battle with the phantom controlling the trackpad (and it usually has enough control that I can’t do much). I’ve gotten around this by using a mouse and turning on the accessibility function that ignores the trackpad if a mouse is plugged in....
