Chosen Solution I replaced the battery in my iPhone 6 with a Coolege knock-off. After reassembly, at first the screen orientation would no longer rotate to landscape and the flash/flashlight would no longer work. I took it apart again and made sure all cables were securely connected. Now, the flash works fine again, but the rotate is still locked into portrait mode. You can use the IMEI number to try and find the carrier it is locked to, if it is possible to unlock, and the cost and time it takes....

Chosen Solution I have attempted to replace the SIM reader on my Ascend P6-U06. Removed the old one, soldered the new part into place. The old sim reader was terribly mangled by the previous owner. However, there seems to be a problem of some sort. Even though the solder joints seemed alright to me, apparently the SIM cannot be detected by the phone. The IMEI and baseband are OK, the date is correct....

Chosen Solution Is it possible to upgrade the computer with better processor and motherboard? Yes, but you would need to replace the motherboard. The CPU is together with the motherboard so you can only upgrade from the same year usually from an i5 to an i7 usually. While I agree with @benjamen50 on upgrading the CPU would require a swap out of the logic board. Depending on your exact system you might have other cheaper options....

Chosen Solution As above really, started to freeze a week ago, hard boot only way to restart, watching onboard movies/videos or streaming seems to cause the freeze. Also since starting to find causes on the web, fast scrolling also causes the freeze. From my PC days I’m thinking ram problem, diagnostics say they are fine but is there a way of testing them. Chosen Solution I took the back off and was surprised to find the mounting screws or torx?? I didn’t have the right tool so I had to close it back up. The Type 00 screwdriver took the back off but did’t know what torx # to use to use the brackets. Thanks. It is likely that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard anyway, making it irreplaceable. Both the SSD and RAM upgrades should be easy....

Chosen Solution I’ve had this 13" 2.16 ghz macbook for over 10 years (long past my expectations), and never had issues until recently. It’s become very sensitive to movement. Whenever I pick it up, or move it in any way that causes a small stress to the body or screen, it will shut down. The only way I can turn it back on is to hold down the power button and play with opening and closing and twisting the screen until it finally turns back on....

Chosen Solution no matter what startup key combos I press it will only go to recovery drive. Disk Utilities says SSD is fine, but when I connect to the internet and try to install from there, it verifies then says error preparing disk. And it also tries to say my install high sierra is damaged and can’t be installed. Again First Apple has a date test within the OS installers so you do need to make sure the date is correctly set manually or via the internet time server (Hint older versions of OS will need the system back dated to their release window)....

Chosen Solution During a power outage, my side by side refrigerator began leaking down the front door from underneath the ice/water dispenser tray (located outside the fridge). When power was restored, the leaking eventually stopped. The only thing I did was replace the water filter which was less than three months in use . The fridge is less than two years old. Chosen Solution I’m certain that my Palm rest temp sensor (aka TS0P) is faulty as I can see the reading from iStats as -128, which fires up the fan speed to max and kill CPU power and Wi-Fi Question is: Is there a way to tell the mac to ignore these readings or replace it?
