Chosen Solution t430 screen distorts and then computer shuts down Video drivers, in my experience, can produce all kinds of strange errors. If you can boot up in ‘Safe Mode’ try uninstalling the video driver and let it re-boot to Microsft’s generic driver and work from there. Yes would agree that a heat issue would still occur in ‘safe mode’ but….you never know. There are many causes of boot errors. Corruption, failing drive, etc....

I got my screen replaced at Timpsons, but then realised that there are some white shadowing at the left bottom corner and on the side (more visible when the screen/photo is dark in that place), when the screen is white i can see like some greyish shadows all over the screen. I gave the phone back to them twice to fix it, but they say that everything is fine and didnt fix it....

Chosen Solution Kids bent my Screen Backwards. The screen seems to be detached from the hinge, but can open and close with considerable effort. The effort is only to keep the hinge in line with the screen . I Applied pressure to try and pop it back into place, but I believe a piece may be broken. The Guides only have a screen replacement for my model. I was hoping to see a breakdown of the hinge assembly or how it attaches to the screen in hopes of repair....

Chosen Solution Hey so I just changed my battery on the iPhone 6+ and everything works fine exept that the left side of the touchscreen doesn’t respond at all. What can I do about this? When you changed the battery did you take off the screen? check to see that all the cables are connected properly. If you did not take off the screen you might have pulled one of the cables, which then means you probably have to change the screen as well if I’m not mistaken....

Chosen Solution It’s been more than 30 hours and security wipe on my blackberry passport is still in progress. Initially it was going nice and smooth but after 90% it got really slow.From last 4 hours it’s stuck on 98%. OK… long time ago the same happened to my Passport….. follow the steps but…. be patient… Connect your Passport to computer and OPEN Blackberry Link PRESS and keep it pressed the Power button…the BB Passport try to reboot for 3 or 4 times and showing the security wipe screen… remember…always pressing power button never release…....

Chosen Solution I have a Late-2013 (MacBookPro 11,2/2.0GHz/8GB) MacBookPro that works fine, but I also have a Mid-2014 (MacBookPro 11,3/2.8GHz/16GB) which boots and works, but has a failed battery, cracked screen, and messed up keyboard. Since they both are Retina 15” MBP Model A1398, can I simply swap the logic boards? Do I need to swap the i/o boards too, or anything else? Or worse, is there something I don’t recognize as being different that I should be concerned with?...

Chosen Solution My phone got water damaged but the indicator for it has not turned red (SIM card slot area). The phone responds to touch, the Buttons all work however there isn’t any haptic feedback. When the phone is on, the alarm goes off and I can turn it off by pressing the screen. The charging port also still works. I suspect that the phone may only need a screen replacement....

Chosen Solution After replacing the hard drive my computer works good however when i turn it on a question mark in a briefcase appears briefly then the apple icon appears then it all goes normally, I would like to know why this happens, my understanding is that the question mark means that their is a problem i just don’t know what it is or where to look for it?. Also I had to replace my old battery (as it wasn’t charging) and now if I leave the charger unplugged, the computer shuts of after awhile and when i power it back on it starts of where it was at as if its asleep but i actually have to turn it back on, I don’t know if this has anything to do with it each other or if it is 2 seperate problems....

Chosen Solution I have 2 memory slots each with a 4 GB module. Can I upgrade? The non-retina models can be upgraded up to 16 GB! You can replace one module or both as an example replacing one you could get to 12 GB (one 4 GB & one 8GB module) or swap out both to get to 16 GB. But before you make this jump make sure its going to improve performance....

Chosen Solution An idiot child (some of us have them) picked up my old Macbook Pro from its lap desk and forgot the laptop must be with the lap desk. The USB cable that connects the two devices is now at a 90° angel from where it should be. It is not repairable. Chosen Solution I replaced a clients SuperDrive in their A1181 with a brand new GSA-S10N SuperDrive (it’s stated on this site that this drive will work in this machine). Other than it being louder than the original drive (are they usually?) it played CDs, DVDs and read discs just fine. We returned it to the client and collected for the job. 3 days later the MacBook was returned to us as the drive still played/read disc but it would not burn CDs or DVDs at all....

Chosen Solution I’ve had my screen replaced 3 times not by Apple but due to the screen unsticking which I later found out that company bent my frame, It’s now started to spas out by itself so I can’t touch it or type anything. Does anyone know a fix before I buy a new iPad? Thanks Ghost touch on Airs and Minis is due to the company not insulating the edges of the digitiser, so it shorts against the frame and causes touch to work by itself or cut out....

Chosen Solution Update: Now my original screen is having the same issue, after i swapped it back. (The original screen worked perfectly but the anti-reflective coating was peeling off, hence the swap) So I’m worried I possibly damaged something on the motherboard or display port when swapping? I was pretty careful so I’m not sure what could have caused this to happen… I just replaced the entire display on my Macbook Pro (Mid 2014) 15” Retina....

I am considering factory resetting the computer so that I can log in with a brand new account (hopefully that will work) but I don’t want to lose all of the precious files in the process (all our old photos, music, etc.). Chosen Solution The rear facing camera of a recently acquired Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T337A has a smoky haze to the picture image. Originally I replaced the rear-facing camera, and then determined that the external camera cover on the rear of the plastic case body is actually causing the cloudy images. Without the rear case body the camera takes great images. Is the rear camera lens cover glass or plastic? Can I polish it with fine (2,000-grit+) polish or such?...
