The glass broke — nearly shattered — when it fell, in a case, about 18” onto a carpeted floor, so this is very likely not the original screen. I can’t get anything between the glass and the case, even after 2 min of the iopener or 15 min on a heating pad. Chosen Solution Hi all, I got my MacBook Pro back from the Apple Store yesterday as I had the battery replaced. When I came into the store prior to the replacement the genius guy I talked to ran some tests and when testing the VST it came up with a yellow exclamation mark to which he said was no problem given the age of my mac. Chosen Solution I just got my screen repaired and my home button replaced since it broke along with my screen and my home button isn’t working I don’t hear a clicking noise or anything is anyone else having this issue? On iPhone 7, replacement home button is ABSOLUTELY USELESS. The only purpose is to fill the empty hole. Since the button is touch and force sensing based instead of a physical switch, the pressing signal is transmitted through the encrypted data link, replacement button won’t have Touch ID as previous, or button function either, it’s just a dead peace of sapphire, sitting there to look nice....

Chosen Solution I removed the pentalobe screws from the bottom of the phone without difficulty and tilted back the screen assembly with the intention of checking the voltage of the battery. I noticed a tiny squarish piece of metal stuck in some adhesive inside the phone. I removed it with tweezers to discover that it was threaded and had a beveled edge. When I tried to reassemble the phone, the pentalobe screws were not tightening....

Chosen Solution The screen works fine but the backlight does not turn on. I checked the backlight settings to make sure it’s not turned off. What should I do? You need to be able to isolate the issue. It’s either a failure on the backlight of the screen necessitating a screen replacement, OR it is a failure of the circuit that powers the screen’s backlight on the main circuit board. If it’s the latter, you may need a new mainboard....

Ever since I downloaded iOS 8 there is a small part of my screen that doesn’t respond to touch, it’s just below the middle of a phone and it’s horizontal across. Chosen Solution Cable pulls out about 8-10 inches then stops. I’ve taken the lid off, cleaned out all the grime and dirt, replaced all parts, won’t pull out. It pulls fine when the housing is loose. Sounds like something in the housing is binding it. Look at a spot where it is binding or getting rubbed and see if it is dented in.
