Chosen Solution I’ve been doing quite a lot of repairs on my phone, including replacing the battery and lightning port assembly. After the last repair my phone made a weird rattling noise and felt strange when vibrating (but not when the home button was “pressed”). After some troubleshooting I replaced the taptic engine. With the replacement part the phone does not vibrate at all, only when pressing the home button. I put back the original taptic engine and I had the rattling vibration again, but this time also when pressing the home button....

It had 8gb soldered to the motherboard and another 8gb in the only sodimm slot and they run dual channel which is a significant performance increase. I upgraded the 8gb sodimm stick to a 16gb one. It’s so swollen the 3 screws in the front are being held in by the pressure, and the metal case is even puffing out a little bit around the perimeter of the screw openings (other screws came out fine). Chosen Solution I took the phone a part and replaced my rear facing camera and my SIM card holder. After reconnecting everything and then turning the phone on to make sure everything works correctly, the screen doesn’t respond to me swiping on it but it still lights up. I then went to pop the screen back into the case and the screen goes off. I pick the screen back up and turn the phone back on and it lights up again....
