Disassemble your monitor and check for leaking, bulging or otherwise bad capacitors. I suggest to replace all of the caps, then retry....

Chosen Solution I opened the microphone and discovered that the wires have been broken from where they are soldered. Need to make the wires longer and replace. How ? It wouldn’t cost you that much. You can acquire some solder, flux (that will help things go much smoother), wire and a soldering iron, for quite cheap. Even the desoldering shouldn’t be too complicated. You could try finding the panel number that is printed on the back of the panel and search online using the number, to see if you get any more results....

Because the volume and power button cable run below the top of the battery. You may have damaged the cable or possibly knocked the plug off.

Chosen Solution Unfortunately, I cracked the metal chin bar below my screen on my 2017 MacBook Pro touch bar, 13". It cracked since I put some stapled papers in my laptop and when I closed the screen, I heard a crunch noise and the stapler broke some of the metal chin bar under the display. Chosen Solution I just replaced the battery in an iPhone 6 Plus. I made the rookie mistake of ripping the flex cable going to the front camera and earpiece. I had NOT removed the display and instead just worked with the phone carefully propped up and rubber-banded to something weighted. That one flex cable is way more fragile than I expected. The phone still otherwise functions fine, other than the front camera (obviously) and the earpiece....
