Chosen Solution Hi, So, I’ve been buying various palm rests on eBay, and I’m currently on try #3. (First one had the escape key top cover missing, second one was for a 2012-2017 MacBook air, not a 2011 one. So, keyboard and topcover #3 arrives, unfortunately, no backlight cable, trackpad cable or speakers. I can transfer the trackpad cable from my current topcover, and I tried converting the speakers, but unfortunately, there’s a metal bar that’s blocking the speakers from going down all the way....

Chosen Solution Hi Everyone, I replaced my wife’s shatters screen a week ago and she has been having issues with it. When she tries to wake the phone using the power or home button it just stays black but the backlight comes on and thus happens at random. The phone wasn’t dropped in water. The replacement screen isn’t cheap one I paid $60 for it, can someone please help me out....

Chosen Solution My display has red artifacting where the darkest blacks should be. When I hook up to external display there is no lines, everything looks as it should. Chosen Solution I spilled some cofee w/cream on my LG VN 270 and now I cant see anythign on the screen. I tried drying the phone out with rice, then with a dessicant packet in a plastic bag, and maybe they helped, cause the phone seems to work, except the visuals. So I am trying to figure out whether it is the LCD or Digitizer layers that need replacing - can anyone help with this?...

Chosen Solution I ordered and replaced my cell battery. The guide was very easy to follow and was completed in 15 min. BUT due to the arthritis in my hands I turned the center screw just a little too tight while replacing the bracket and broke the “thing” (diode?) that was attached to the logic board. Could you tell me what that “thing” is and what I need to replace? The battery arrived very timely and worked :) phone powered up, but there were vertical black and white stripes on the screen and I was not able to access the phone in any capacity....

Chosen Solution Hello, I just replaced the top glass digitiser of my HTC Desire 510. It is the first time I do this kind of repair so I can’t be 100% sure that it was done perfectly. I bought the replacement top glass digitiser on eBay (not sure if it is an official one or not) What’s happening is : When the phone is plugged in (using the HTC charger which comes with the phone and only in that case), the new digitiser is working fine : no lag, recognising the double touch, etc… When the phone is unplugged or plugged in with another charger than the one coming with the phone, the digitiser is working in an erratic way : the straight swap are not recognised straight (I used a “paint” app to test this)....

Chosen Solution Hello! My Wi-Fi was grayed out on my iPad 4. After attempting network reset with no luck, I changed the antenna. My Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are still grayed out. Any idea how to repair this? The antenna cables will not solve any issues with Wi-Fi not turning on or greyed out that is the Wi-Fi ic that has gone bad and needs to be replaced. @kk29680 ,Karen, I am hoping these suggestion’s at links below may help your solve your issue....

Chosen Solution Can you use an iPhone 8 Plus camera to replace the camera on the iPhone 7 Plus? Full disclosure, I haven’t tried this myself so perhaps someone who has can confirm or deny. Looking at the cameras (assuming you meant the rear camera) online (iPhone 7Plus / iPhone 8Plus), they don’t appear to have the same flex cables. The 8Plus cables are longer. Also, Apple has a tendency to make parts slightly different, either with the pinouts of the connectors or the actual connectors themselves even if the internal guts are the same....

Chosen Solution I have a 3S 35C Goldbat Lipo 2200mAh battery that fried one of its cells. I have a lipo that has the same c rating but instead of 733mAh( I divided 2200mah by 3 to get 733mah a cell) it has a capacity of 650mAh. I know that it will drain slightly quicker than the other cells, but can it work? @fegelein by using different cells you’d be changing the parameter of this battery....

Chosen Solution Since last week my Macbook Pro 13 inch (2019, two thunderbolt ports, now almost 3 years old) display is having a lot of trouble, displaying a lot of flickering horizontal colored lines, and increasingly often only showing vertical stripes (white, green, purple etc). During a visit to the Apple store I was told that I should not have used the laptop with the screen extended as far as mechanically possible, as it would damage the display cable (never had this issue with previous Macbooks)....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have ripped off the fan connector on my Macbook Air. Unfortunately, I have managed to remove one of the pads on the PCB. Chosen Solution My Samsung refrigerator (Rfg297acrs) was leaking water from the water dispenser so I replaced the water assembly valve (DA97-07827B). Now no water - I can hear the water assembly valve turning on and off but no water. Any suggestions on a fix? Darren Barfuss- As long as you hear the valve energizing and the water is turned on to the refrigerator and has good water pressure then either air or ice is stopping the water flow....

Chosen Solution When I turn on my laptop everything is fine. But after 3-5 minutes the LCD back light is turning off and I could not see anything on the screen. If I am closing and reopening the screen lid, the light will come back for another minute and then goes again. Does anyone know what the problem is? If the problem corrects itself when you move the screen you probably have a loose or damaged cable between the motherboard and the screen....

Chosen Solution The device has a thin crack, no problems with how it works. After it was left in hot car, a black dot appeared on screen, and now it is growing in size, obscuring an app icon. sounds like the lcd has a crack, the term “screen” is problematic, some say screen to the front panel assembly (aka the touch screen) and others call the lcd a screen. but since the “touch screen” can’t get a real black dot - it must be a crack in the lcd....

Chosen Solution Dropped phone on concrete. Screen shattered. Black lines going down lcd with random colours surrounding. What can I do to fix this? Sounds like you have a broken LCD. Replace the screen. Be sure to swap your home button or you will not have touch ID

Chosen Solution Screen goes dim without a connection to an external monitor. Works fine with an external monitor. By itself it sometimes works but will flicker every once in a while. Or it will just remain very dim. F2 key is unresponsive during these fits. Screen returns once external display is plugged in. I have a new logic board and new battery installed. The display problem existed before this repair....
