Chosen Solution A customer brought in an S8+ today that had previously been dropped. The OLED was damaged. He says that it was working for a while but it randomly stopped displaying the other day. I figured that the screen had just died and proceeded with the repair. I have tried three different screen assemblies on his device and I am still not getting anything. The phone is turning on, OK Google is functioning but I’m not getting a display....

Chosen Solution Unit powers up fine but image is scrambled. I tried patching 2nd monitor & it does the same. Any ideas? Same scrambled video on external monitor = bad news. Probably a faulty graphic processor unit and that means a logic board replacement. Try all usual troubleshooting procedures (pram reset, PMU reset, etc). Chosen Solution I recently replaced my screen on Tuesday, it worked fine until yesterday, about fifty hours after being replaced. I had also used someone else’s charger yesterday. (Some things I read about similar problems mentioned the charger) Yesterday, my screen display started shaking at the bottom. Then the top of the display started coming up at the bottom. And then later you could see about half of the top of the screen at the bottom....

Chosen Solution my tablet will still turn on and off and play music and stuff but the screen is black and you can only faintly see it in a certain light check the lcd ribbon is connected properly as this could cause a black screen if its even out a tiny bit, make sure the line on the ribbon matches up with the line on the motherboard

Chosen Solution There is a large spot on the drawing screen that won’t erase when the slider goes over it, what can I do to fix this problem? Is the section of the screen distorted or indented? That section of the screen may be crushed, in case the only way to solve this problem is to replace the magnetic screen. Use this guide to replace it. Hope this helps!

Chosen Solution I bought a Blu Vivo 5R a couple of months ago. I mainly use phones for video chatting with loved ones on the other side of the world. This selfie camera has had a strange blue hue since I got the phone. The only time the camera does not have the heavy blue tint is in full direct sunlight. Has anyone else experienced this? Chosen Solution I went to get into my jeep yesterday and the engine tries to start but does not turn on. When I turn the key I hear a buzzing type noise which is coming from my fuel tank. This time it went into recovery mode. If it is just not working, do you get any indications on the tablet when you connect the charger to it, that it is charging OK etc? If the screen is broken, (was the tablet dropped or sat on etc?), then it would have to be opened and inspected to assess the internal damage....

Chosen Solution The taped or glued zipper seam on my board shorts has separated. Nothing is torn, no ragged edges just the zipper fabric has unglued itself from the fabric of the shorts. I’d like to glue it back but what kind of glue do I use? They’re in the ocean a lot and take a beating. The pocket is totally open without the sealed seam. I would give contact cement a whirl it is waterproof and gives a pretty strong yet flexible bond....

Chosen Solution I changed the worm gear because the tines ony tiller stop spinning. After replacing the worm gear it still not turning. First, make sure the engine (really the clutch housing) is seated all the way down onto the transmission. It’s not very likely this is the problem, I’ve never seen these go loose (usually it’s an assembly problem), but it might be possible. Another possibility us that the clutch is not working....

Chosen Solution Hello, all, Just did a memory upgrade on my iMac… had a two-fold question (sorry if it’s a bit basic): First of all, should I leave the stock RAM (2x 8GB) in? Or should I run off of the 2x 16GB (OWC 2400MHZ DDR4 SO-DIMM)? Or all the memory in at once?Also, does the slot order of RAM install matter? Thanks for the help! JB Make sure the ram you are going to put in is the same as the ram currently installed or is on the list of supported ram, if it is I would just install both of the new sticks....
