Chosen Solution so after solving this wifi no hardware issue (my sister got rice stuck in her macbook after trying to save it from water damage and there was still rice stuck) i’ve seem to have encountered another issue. as stated previously rice was stuck inside so I decided to wipe down the logic board and basically everything that’s on the inside of the bottom of the case before closing it....

Chosen Solution Our fluorescent light has suddenly turned pink. It is a large double light in the bathroom. I have not seen this problem on any of the sights. Darla, no it is not dangerous. Often fluorescent lights will turn pink (caused by a loss of mercury) with black burns on the ends of the lamp as the light reaches its end of life. Replacing the light tube should fix this....

Chosen Solution I have a macbook pro that i got that I am trying to trouble shoot, the issue is that when you press the power button nothing happens, no fans, no hard drive spin up, no sound, like it has no pwoer, however, the LED on the MagSafe adapter turns green when plugin, the battery has 1 light that flashes when pressing the test button, I left it plug in with the battery for a few hours and still the battery has the 1 flashing light....

Chosen Solution Hello all, I’ve torn the lid angle sensor while trying to clean the inside of my computer. I’ve attempted to work around this by putting the computer to sleep before closing the lid however the screen turns back on as soon as it is closed. Also strange that the screen will stay on indefinitely until the battery is dead, even though i’ve changed my power savings settings are to turn the display off after one minute of inactivity....

Chosen Solution Is there a way to repair the ribbon after it has been torn? It is the two outer ribbons that seem to be grounded to the chassis. Can this be repaired or do I need a new ribbon assembly? I actually put it back together as is and it’s working fine. I have no idea what they are for but they’re not affecting functionality as yet. Chosen Solution I replaced the internal HD with a 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD and used the OWC Complete Hard Drive Upgrade Kit and NewerTech AdaptaDrive to complete the upgrade. This was the fist time I opened my iMac and I was careful to follow the steps from both iFixit and OWC. Got every thing back together but when it boots I hear the startup chime and only get a black screen and a very loud fan (never heard it that loud before)....

Chosen Solution Replaced front touch screen, everything works except for the touch feature. I couldn’t see a solution in other similar questions. You need to go back though this guide to double check all of the steps. You may have a defective digitizer but you could also have damaged the flex or connectors on the logic board.

Chosen Solution Plug the Kindle into the charger for 10-15 min. Then, while it’s still connected to the charger, press and hold the on switch for 60 seconds. (Time it.) Then release the button and wait 3 minutes for the Kindle to reboot. It that does not help, try disconnecting the battery and hold down the power switch for 60 seconds. Then reinstall the battery and repeat the procedure above....

When using the remote I can hear the normal sounds as I’m making selections but the screen is simply black with a back light.
