Chosen Solution I just replaced my battery with a NEW battery from ifixit and their tool kit. My phone is now shutting down and rebooting itself every 5 min or so. It’s now USELESS!! I followed the install directions to a T – implicitly. I have done everything listed in the ifixit guide to remedy this. Hard reboot, plugging my phone into my computer and doing the itunes thing, hard reset of the phone, resetting the factory settings in the phone, EVERYTHING!...

Chosen Solution So I was playing my Xbox on my TV and noticed a faint electric burning smell. I stopped and investigated the room and nothing. I continued playing and later noticed that it got stronger. Looked around the entire house and didn’t find the source. I was then watching tv when going to sleep and all of a sudden the smell got worse and the picture on the tv started going out and the screen seemed to be sparking....

Chosen Solution If I hold down power button for awhile, the backlight will come on and go off immediately and it will vibrate a little during this process …but no logo or battery icon, even after leaving on charge for awhile. Hi @wizard870 , There’s no easy way around it. If you performed the screen replacement, you’ll have to go back and check your work to verify that everything is how it should be....

Chosen Solution My lower Nintendo DS screen was blank, but the backlight was on and the touch panel works, so I replaced the display to no avail. I then tried turning the lower screen’s potentiometer to adjust the contrast and was able to get some display, but it’s only a partial display and some scan lines show up. I tried this with the replacement lower screen as well, but I got a checkered/plaid red/green line pattern....

Chosen Solution so my son opened his iphone 8 up with intention of replacing screen could not do this because his screen did not come with the LCD part to the screen so we put it back together all seems to be working except the screen is black. any helpful advice please Did your son disconnect the screen assembly from the logic board? If he did, did he disconnect the battery first?...

Chosen Solution Went to use my tablet the other day and pressed home button and the screen displayed as normal but in negative colours, isn’t the negative setting in settings Check Settings –> Accessibility –> Vision There is a section in there with a check box for “Negative Colors”. I believe your display settings are off. Go to settings>accessibility, then go down to the bottom where it says display. Make sure your color correction is off, and also make sure your inverted colors option off....

Chosen Solution I dropped my ipad air 2, and the screen isnt cracked but the display when turned on has black “bars?” on the left side . Do I have to replace the whole screen or just the digitizer? you need to replace the lcd screen, perhaps you can do some test on all the spot if the digitizer is able to respond. if so, just get the lcd panel replace first....

Here is the guide: Twentieth Anniversary Mac Teardown. Follow it thought to Step9 to get the front off which has the LCD screen mounted. Just be careful you get the correct replacement display, you can’t substitute.

Chosen Solution I read the tear down for the Surface RT and have a good idea of what to expect. But the one thing that was left out was how to separate the Touch Glass from the LCD screen? I just dropped my RT and have cracked the glass and the touch digitizer isn’t working properly (LCD display is fine). I have found a replacement glass digitizer on eBay for a reasonable price, but at the end of the tear down it says: “LCD and glass are fused together and strongly adhered to the case, increasing cost of replacement....

Chosen Solution I have a HP media center pcm376n the fan has gone out. Is it worth getting fixed. Or is my sys out dated? I still have windows XP Joe Bob, first you need to tell us which fan. Ultimately the question is one that only you can answer. A fan may run you no more than $30 etc, which is a lot cheaper than a new computer. If your computer does what it needs to for you, than why not keep it....

Chosen Solution It is a Vizio E55-E1. The screen was already dim at one corner when we got it from a friend for free. Now, about 10% of the screen looks like its normally lit. I had the brightness pretty high as well, to make up for the dimness of that one corner when we got it. Just one morning I turned it on and almost the whole screen was super dim....

Chosen Solution I did a hard reset on my Z5 by pressing power + volume up. Phone vibrated once and went blank. I have left it on charge but no luck. I have pressed the off button in the sim card tray for 30 seconds and also for 120 seconds. Left it to charge overnight. Still no luck Any ideas Hi, Try starting it with the SIM card and tray removed, also if you have an external SD card installed remove it as well....

I have a good, fast external 8TB drive with my media but am not against transferring the data to the iMac’s new internal drive if that will work better. Chosen Solution Powerbook was given to me by a friend as it displayed no video. I reseated the video cord and voila: os X 10.3 desktop! BUT the upper case was damaged and the trackpad non-responsive, so I replaced the upper case per instructions found here (thanks!) After replacing the upper case, I left the battery out, and charged it overnight to make certain that the PRAM battery was charged. Machine booted fine, and I proceeded to do a clean install....

Chosen Solution So I recently replaced the hard drive in my iPod. And when I replaced the back it kept displaying “charging, please wait…” Thinking I connected the battery back incorrectly, I reopened and reset the battery cable, left the back open to make sure it would work properly. After 5 minutes I get an apple logo and it goes to the default screen. So I shut the iPod down so I can replace the back, and now we’re back to “charging, please wait…” I know it’s not the cable, I’ve tried two different ones....

Chosen Solution YiHi.com located in Shenzhen China has never replied to my emails as well as no reply from Varitube.com in Florida which is the only authorized SX Mini repair shop in the US! Is it possible that a cell phone repair store would be able to replace a broken C-type charge port? If it was a SMOK mod I’d throw it in the trash but I paid nearly $250 for a high-end device that just needs repair....

Chosen Solution I got a Vizio m420nv lock screen from my local thrift store and it turns on and then within 15 or 20 minutes shuts off automatically by itself is that a specific problem or how do I narrow down what the problem could be @normaray could be an issue with the power board. you have not told us if it comes back on immediately after it shuts down or if you have to wait....
