Chosen Solution I hope you can help. I am having to replace my hdd that died in my Macbook Pro 17". Using a 750gb. I do not have a boot backup in Time Machine, therefore, must boot from the original discs. The ones I have are version 10.5.2 and I was running 10.5.8. How will I get back to what I was running? Use an upgrade option from Apple? I am a novice and have been studying your info for days on swapping out the drive and it is very clear and helpful....

Chosen Solution My question is, is it going to damage my amplifier and what are the negative effects. Im using two 12 volts car battery. My amplifier is a audio planet PL2000.1M. Thx in advance @luisfp10 your amp is not going to like it. Either it shuts off from overvoltage protection or it will blow the MOSFET’s inside the amp. Not sure how you wired the second battery but it should be in connect in parallel to increase the amperage, not the voltage....

Chosen Solution Hi All, I have myself a android SM-A520F. Strange thing is that it shows the charging logo but i cant get the phone to boot. Anyone an idea how to? Fixed it myself already. Had to connect the back plate ( black plastic part )

Chosen Solution At start up it puts out a cloud of bluish white smoke but then disappears. It doesn’t smoke anymore unless revved at a higher rpms. Head was just rebuilt due to a bent valve problem. New turbo installed as well as a new PCV valve. No coolant loss.it Seemed to have some oil consumption but after replacing the PCV valve about 100 miles ago the oil consumption has been greatly reduced but still smoking out of the exhaust....

Chosen Solution I was replacing the battery, and since I was careless some isopropyl alcohol got between the display and the digitizer. The incident happened 5 days ago. At the beginning it seemed like it was getting better, i guess the alcohol stuck inside evaporated, but three days after the incident the situation looked like the second photo, and it stopped improving. Could it be permanently damaged and I need to replace it, or there’s just alcohol left and it will eventually evaporate all?...

Chosen Solution My Visio e6011e3 has sound but no pocture @twiggy1967 turn your TV on in a darkened room and place it on a station where you know you would have a signal. Shine a flashlight at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out any movement etc. ion the screen. If so you know you have an issue with the backlight. Unplug the set and remove the back of your TV then take a look at all the boards....

Chosen Solution I have a mid 2011 iMac 27 and I plan to replace my HHD and install a Evo 850 SSD into an Adaptadrive bay. I see that most people are using an OWC connector for this upgrade. My question is: Can I use a 09 or 10 temp cable and plug it into the logic board to receive the signals, or should I get the OWC connector? If I have to get the OWC connector, then where can I buy it without the rest of material in the package?...

Chosen Solution The date and time on my GoPro Hero 4 Black resets on every battery change. I’m guessing there is an internal battery that should keep the clock. Is there a way to fix this? Hi @lukasl , You may be correct that there is a backup battery. (It looks as if there is a coin cell type battery but I cannot be sure of this, it might be a capacitor)....

Chosen Solution The phone works, the problem is just with the charging. The port where the pins of the usb were little curved so i replaced it with a new one and when i plug the charger it goes on and off like i am unplugging and putting the charger back on. It’s the same issue as when i received the phone. first try a different cable

Chosen Solution Hi, When I press the + and - buttons, the volume icon appears, but the slider is empty. When I receive a call, I hear it ring, and I can hear the ringtones in the sound menu. Chosen Solution So, I have this computer and the screen is completely messed on it. I have a 19 inch TV that I have been using as my monitor, everything else has been working fine for years without the display. today I was removing my AUTOCAD and replacing it. I uninstalled it and rebooted the computer. NOW THE COMPUTER IS TURNING ON BUT NOT DISPLAYING ON THE TV! And usually I can tell if the computer boots up without the additional monitor (TV) because the messed up PC screen usually does a sort of flicker....

This specific board is supposed to have 16gb of RAM, but in my system report it only shows that I have 8gb available. Problem is I now need some data stored on that drive! Any thoughts or devices that I can purchase or perhaps use the USB with a “funky” connection to that drive to gain access to that data? Chosen Solution I dropped my phone and cracked the rear glass panel and the glass on the rear camera lens? Everything still works perfect but is it possible to change the back glass panel? This phone is quite new. I would check with Google to see if they will replace the glass for you under warranty. At the time of this post there is no such camera lens or back glass existing for your phone yet so in my opinion it would just be worth it to pull out your wallet and let Google handle this....

I’ve got a spare iPod classic 160gb 7th gen. Would it be possible to replace the iPod video’s jack/hold switch with the one from the Classic? Thanks! @jeltev Yes they are interchangeable. The headphone jack/hold switch, hard drive cable, and hard drive (from the 5th gen to 6th gen but not vice versa)are compatible....

Chosen Solution Is it possible in this model? Thanks! There is no pram battery in that model. It is now called nvram and the key combination is the same as resetting pram. I don’t know about the Pros but in the MacBook line, they stopped putting pram batteries on the early and mid 2009 models.

Have been told that the EMC doesn’t matter and that I can replace it with any A1502 as they are the same 2013 onwards. Is that true?
