Chosen Solution I opened up my PlayStation last year to take out a small pebble that had gotten in it, I got it second hand at a thrift store. When I was closing it back up, I accidentally bent that ribbon the wrong way and it tore off. Is there a way I can fix this or am i just better off throwing it away and getting a new one? If I can fix it, please send me a link to where I can get the parts, or to a tutorial on how to fix it....

Chosen Solution One half of my dell inspiron n4050 laptop’s screen is showing darker colors than the other half…Can anyone help?? yasirarshaddharala, thiat could be caused by a bad LED backlight driver (unlikely) or a bad LCD display (likely). Connect an external display to make sure the GPU circuity is okay. If an external monitor works, check the cables going to your LCD if those are okay, I suggest to replace the LCD....

Chosen Solution Quick question I have a 6s plus I’m trying to work out if I have a short on pp gpu line as all the caps on that line are testing shorted and area is extremely hot I have been told a lot that most meters will beep on that line because it’s low residents to ground but what I don’t understand is that pp cpu is nelly the same but won’t sound or sound on anything at all which makes me think it’s a short and my next step would be to remove L 2010 L2011 L2012 L2013 to isolate to see what end its coming from please give me some pointers thank u...

Chosen Solution drpped tray, reveals disk drive and on top of that the hard drive. When the tray was dropped as part of the disassemby, a cable dangled identified as tmds no visable place for it to be attached. What to do with it to be terminated any were when reassembling? The TMDS CABLE IS THE Monitor Cable. You wont have any video if this cable is unplugged from the Logic Board....

Did notice however, whilst researching your question, that the digitzer for a TomTom Via 130 is compatible with the 260 so thought that perhaps the screen is as well. Chosen Solution Hi! Yesterday, I swapped all my internal components myself into a brand new upper case purchased from iFixit due to a dead keyboard, backlights, and touch bar. The repair went perfectly, and all components are now working—except the touch bar. Prior to the repair, the touch bar was completely dead, TouchBarServer couldn’t be found in Activity Monitor, and all touch bar options were missing in System Preferences. Post repair, its display is still blank and its options are still missing in System Preferences, but the TouchBarServer process is back in Activity Monitor....

Chosen Solution What hardware is related to the “Raise to wake” function that may be tied to the Home button being extremely laggy? Raise to wake…I would assume that has to do with the accelerometer (U3010) or perhaps the Discreet Accel (U3030). I would probe around those circuits to see if anything is amiss. As for the laggy Home Button, my first thought was the battery too. However, you may want to install a generic HB to see if the problem goes away....

Chosen Solution While I disconnecting the internal battery, I pulled the battery socket piece off the motherboard. Does this piece need to be soldered or is there an adhesive I could use? @paul22 no adhesive and it will need to get soldered. Chosen Solution I’ve recently replaced my water damaged iPhone with a new battery and new front screen assembly. my phone now continuously drops signal and never achieves LTE which it has in the past. the battery charge also drains drastically fast. down to 20% in less than 3 hours from full charge and all i do is text. Battery used to last up to 2 days. Phone also shuts down on its own periodically, and when i try to push buttons the apple logo comes on the black screen....

Chosen Solution I replace the Lighting port on my son’s iPhone SE with iFixit part #IF327-000-2 and now the bottom microphone used for handheld phone calls doesn’t work. It works on speaker phone and there is sound during videos taken from the phone with the front and rear facing cameras. Also, the headphone jack doesn’t work either. Could this be a defective part? Did I miss something during installation? I opened it up and rechecked that all the connections are connected to the mother board....

Chosen Solution I broke one of my plastic wings of my apple ac adapter. There are two small plastic pins to the left and right of the wing which are fixed it in a kind of hole at each sides of the outer plastic shell. One idea would be to reprint this plastic wing with a 3d printer, but I am not sure if there is a file which has this 3d information available and I also do not know if the material would be stable enough....
