I purchased 2 E7440 i7 FHD Touch systems as a lot for almost nothing compared to what they get complete, so I took a chance and both were easily repaired - even if it took a new drive (pulled), spare RAM and 2 LCDs (1 with TAB issues, other from a junk system that was too far gone - fried inductor and dead shorted motherboard)....
Chosen Solution You have most likely nudged the component I have marked off the pads while replacing the battery. Unless you have the right tools and experience you will need to take it to a reputable repairer.
Chosen Solution I have removed the previous screen but when i go to put the replacement one on, the plugs for the ribbon cables from the screen, don’t seem to plug in. Am i missing something or is it just a case of it needing to be played about with to clip in? Try fiddling with it and seeing if you can get it in. Also, make sure you have the correct screen....
Chosen Solution The right driver on my Status Audio CB-1’s is no longer producing any noise. I have had them for a few months and though they are not super expensive, I cannot replace them right now. I have taken them apart multiple times and found nothing, no frayed wires or bad soldering. The cord that runs through the headphones to the right driver is not damaged at all, but still, not noise....

Chosen Solution I have a 21.5" 2013 iMac. I replaced the HDD.can see the screen only I when I hold up a torch. There is no backlight. I did this very carefully. Not broken wires, nothing. There’s just no light. Hook it up to an external monitor to see if it’s generating a video signal. I’d also recheck all the video connectors.
Chosen Solution I know that its possible to replace the flash-storage in the MBA and its also possible to add a third drive to the iMac. But is there any kit to put the replaced flash-drive of the MBA into the iMac? Cases aren’t available (just a USB 3 from OWC) but are there any cables etc.? And is it admitted to mount the naked flash-module as it is in your guide to place a SSD behind the optical drive?...

But, I don’t know where to get a monitor that’s 14.5 diagonal, 11.5 across, and 8 7/8 inches in height. Does anyone know where to get a monitor like this? Chosen Solution I have a Vita which had battery problems. So I bought a new battery. Battery works but my Vita won’t charge. I plug it in, the orange light is on about a minute (not blinking), the orange flashes blue for like half a second then the light goes off. Also when I turn the Vita on it stops charging. It’s not the battery which I know for a fact....

Chosen Solution I think it’s the reflective pages behind the LCD. Can these be placed in backwards and look like crap? Firstly, I really hope this isn’t for one of your customers. If it is, stop what you are doing and buy them a new assembly! You have likely got a lot of scratches/dirt in between all the sheets if you have lifted them off one by one. Practice on used assemblies before attempting this for real!...

Chosen Solution Simple Question - Can anyone confirm that you can indeed take a 2011 15" MBP, remove the logic board, and insert a logic board from a 2012 15" MBP? If so, does it make any worthy difference (ie, performance, new features with OS, WiFi/BT) or is it simply too much work/effort? You would have to cut the lvds connector up to make the existing lvds cable up. Not worth it....

Can i extract its storage unit for use like a standalone USB drive and Camera for a different Project. Is it even possible?? Please let me know. Thanks the storage unit is a chip on what is know as the logic board, mother board etc. extraction for use other wise is usually not an option, also the cameras are also connected to the same board and are used through the board....
Chosen Solution Hello, As you can see from the pictures, the display is almost skipping horizontal lines of pixels, and offsetting them 3 or 4 rows (The moire is from my camera). Also, if the screen’s brightness has enough contrast, there are vertical brightness bars visible, depending on what it’s displaying. At times, the very top of the menu will appear at the bottom - underneath the dock. There is no display or brightness flickering or wiggling....

If it shows a display, hold a torch at an angle close to the screen of the laptop and see if you can detect the Windows desktop....
Chosen Solution Iphone 6 plus cracked screen, screen plus digitizer replaced but accidentally miss installed the cables. screen turns black. Is there anything that I can do? other than buying another screen? This is a belated answer so hopefully it can be of use to folks who search for and find this question. When inserting a connector in the wrong place, it is possible that the connector was damaged. You have to closely inspect the connector, preferably with magnification, to see if any pins were damaged or if the plastic casing of the connector was mangled up....
Chosen Solution hi, so i am working on an iphone 6 that was water damaged around u1601 and was causing apple logo bootloop, i found at 3 caps were bad and removed them, the phone booted to main screen. the next day i went and looked at it again and it was dead. there is now a short to ground on pp_ldo11, i found it at c4002_rf but i removed it and the short is still present and apple logo bootloop is back....
